Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is actively lobbying President Donald TRUMP to secure NASA and defense contracts for Blue Origin, his space exploration company. This move comes amid a public rift with Elon Musk, whose SpaceX currently dominates government contracts. Blue Origin CEO Dave Limp has engaged Trump's Chief of Staff Susie Wiles in efforts to close the gap.

SpaceX maintains a commanding lead, having recently secured a $5.9 billion Space Force deal for 28 flights compared to Blue Origin's $2.4 billion for seven launches. Musk's company continues to demonstrate operational superiority, including the successful return of stranded astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore.
